How SBC Toilet System works
- Based on the concept of ‘Forced Aeration’
- The toilet cabin/area is connected directly to the septic tank below through the toilet sink.
- The septic tank is equipped with air pipes, which are extended to the roof top of the toilet
- The air pipes are equipped with a wind fan and a solar ventilator and are used for exhaust purposes
- The wind fan and solar ventilator will work with the air flow and sunlight respectively
- Both will function to exhaust air into the atmosphere thereby creating a vacuum
- To fill this vacuum, air will be forced to enter through the toilet hole and through the drainage hole into the septic tank
- This results in decomposition of waste, however due to constant air flow, the fermented odor does not come back through the toilet sink. The heat generated in the process helps to evaporates water
- This along with the vacuum generated by the wind fan and the solar ventilator “forces” the fermented air to move through the air pipe into the atmosphere
- The decomposed waste settles at the bottom of the tank, which can be cleaned from time to time
